Why teams install TaskPort

Teams plan in Notion and execute in Jira, so handoff becomes copying, reformatting, and deciding what is safe to create. Always-on sync can be worse when it writes surprises into Jira.

The buyer-facing output is an import preview and run audit: source row, mapped Jira fields, selected/skipped state, duplicate handling, and created issue keys.

What you can show

  • Notion rows are previewed before Jira writes happen.
  • Templates and mappings keep summaries, descriptions, issue types, and labels consistent.
  • Duplicates can be skipped deliberately instead of discovered after creation.
  • Run history gives teams a record of what was created from which source.

Fit and boundaries

Best for: Teams that plan in Notion but execute in Jira and want controlled issue creation.

Not for: Two-way synchronization or a background sync engine unless those features are explicitly added later.

Where it fits

Use TaskPort when planning starts in Notion but execution needs to land in Jira without copy-paste drift, duplicate issue creation, or surprise background writes.

Use cases

  • Turn a Notion project brief into one Jira issue.
  • Create multiple Jira issues from selected Notion database rows.
  • Use templates so Notion planning data lands in consistent Jira fields.
  • Avoid surprise sync behavior by approving issue creation before writes.
  • Keep a run history of imported work.

Core capabilities

  • Paste a Notion page or database link and connect the workspace when required.
  • Map Notion fields to Jira issue templates, labels, descriptions, and issue types.
  • Preview every database row before Jira creation.
  • Skip duplicates or select rows intentionally before starting issue creation.
  • Track connection status, templates, run history, and audit logs.

Typical workflow

  1. Connect Notion

Authorize TaskPort for the Notion workspace or selected pages and databases.

  2. Paste content link

Use a Notion page or database URL as the import source.

  3. Map fields

Apply Jira project, issue type, labels, templates, and field mappings.

  4. Preview rows

Review the exact Jira issues TaskPort proposes before creation.

  5. Create selected issues

Start controlled Jira issue creation and keep run history.

Security, privacy, and support

  • TaskPort requires Notion authorization for the workspace, pages, or databases being read.
  • It reads Notion content needed to draft Jira issues and writes Jira issues selected by the user.
  • The product is controlled issue creation, not bidirectional synchronization.
  • App settings, mapping state, run history, audit logs, and duplicate-tracking metadata are stored in Forge app storage.
  • ArdSaor Core stores encrypted Notion tokens and short-lived Notion resolution cache rows; TaskPort does not persist Notion page bodies in shared Core cache.
  • Uninstall triggers a Core tenant purge for encrypted Notion tokens and short-lived cache rows; Forge storage follows the documented retention/deletion support process.
